My Vampire Romance
Back in April I participated in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge and it Kicked.My.Ass. I had to blog every day using the letters of the alphabet to generate a theme. In other words, day one my first blog post started with the letter A in the title, and then so on. Anyway, I decided to try my hand at flash fiction. Flash fiction is way shorter than a short story but still has to include a beginning, middle, and end. It's actually harder than it sounds. Oddly enough I stumbled into writing about a vampire. Honestly, I have no idea where the inspiration came from. I read paranormal romance from time to time but never thought about writing in that genre. But for some reason I did. And when I went back through my posts I realized I had enough for a short story. That short story is called The Fang Chronicles.
Zander is a vampire and Nyla is not. At least not in the beginning! I really enjoyed writing these characters. Zander is a romantic alpha and Nyla is his soon to be queen. This is an interracial paranormal romance short story under 7000 words so things move pretty fast. But I managed to squeeze in some romance, adversity, hot sex, and a happy ever after!
